Closures For Training
We are closed for staff training on the following Tuesday afternoons from 1.00 pm:

If you need regular (repeat) medication you will be given a repeat prescription slip. You can request your repeat medication by dropping your slip in at the surgery, ringing our answerphone with the details, or online via the facility below.
All repeat medication is reviewed at least annually and you will be advised when you need to make an appointment for a review.
DispensingWe are a dispensing practice and are able to dispense medication for all patients who live more than a mile from a chemist. Unfortunately, we are prevented by law from dispensing medication to patients who live within a mile of a chemist.

Prescriptions are normally available 48 hours after request (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays).
Order Your Repeat Prescriptions OnlineBefore you use our secure online repeat prescription service for the first time you will need to register (to ensure confidentiality). Please bring some photo ID to Nettleham Dispensary and we'll register you for this service.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
From 1 April 2016, the charges are:
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC. The charge for a single prescription item is £8.40, whereas a three month PPC will cost you £29.10 and a 12 month PPC £104.00.
